My name is Peter I am a BACP Qualified Person Centred Therapist based in Beckenham, I have trained and have had exposure to many of the main therapeutic counselling approaches; Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I aim to provide an approach unique for each client, embracing their individual needs. I value each client’s individual belief system, cultural differences, social difference or whatever diverse uniqueness they may bring.
Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in a place where our coping strategies or abilities to manage in life are no longer working and those close to us are unable to help. We need someone who is not part of our lives, someone to listen to us and more importantly, hear us, to help us to see things from a different perspective, to work things through and gain a sense of ourselves again.
I have experience in working with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction, self-esteem issues, bereavement and panic disorders to name but a few.
My aim is to give you a safe, discreet and confidential space to enable you freely to explore your thoughts and feelings, in your time, at your pace.
30 years ago I made a life changing decision that has really made a positive impact to my life. This led me on my own personal journey into therapy, leading to healing and ongoing growth which then culminated in my own decision to train as a therapist. I am the owner of many very extreme life experiences, working through these with a therapist are the basis of my emotional stability and emotional wellness.
